800 MHz available with dual protocol trunking

The HX582T dual-protocol trunking radio is unique among 800 MHz handhelds because it is fully compatible with both LTRŽ and Privacy PlusŽ trunking formats, and can still operate as a conventional radio. It features a tough, die cast frame surrounded by an almost indestructible polycarbonate case. Its surface-mount components and circuitry are built for years of dependable operation, and rugged enough to earn MIL-STD ratings. This is why we offer the HX582T with a full three-year limited warranty covering both parts and labor.

The HX582T provides a busy indicator with callback; an indicator to tell you when you’re in range and when you’re not; and a talk permit tone and tone busy lockout to make sure no signal talks over another. You get talkaround, fleet/subfleet and system/group call features to help you better manage communications. You get squelch tail elimination for a crisp, clean sound.

In addition, programmable high-speed scanning of any or all systems and groups, a one-touch Home button to return you to your most frequently used system and group, and a backlit LCD.

Options and accessories

Options and accessories include a large keypad, cases and belt clips, long-life batteries, a choice of battery chargers and a handy speaker/microphone that lets you leave the radio clipped to your belt.
